The Internet is Complicated Now

Hello to anyone who is still around. Sorry for being a continual disappointment.

In the intervening years since I last did anything notable, the internet has briskly rushed past me into the future of now. The World Wide Web is crazy different. ¬†There’s Facebooks and Twitters and Tumblrs and so on. Why don’t I just use one of those? Why resurrect a silly old domain?¬†What am I going to do?

What do I hope to accomplish? I don’t know yet.

I’m working on short term, moment-to-moment goals. Goal number one was “modernize web site.” Accomplished. Everything has been wiped clean and I will add back as time permits. There were some extremely odd things going on here and I figured it would be best to start fresh. My next immediate goal is to put the Flash shorts back up in an acceptable format.

We’ll see how it goes from there.

  1. Im actuallly a little sad. I came back here after remembering these funny flash vids. I was curious if any more had been added. If and when you re-upload these vids i will watch them.

  2. Glad to see you’re still around! I just had a weird notion that I should see if anything’s changed in the last year or two, and voila! new website! I look forward to further updates.

  3. You know, not even last week I was talking with a friend on how much I missed this website.

It’s truly good to see you back, but I do have a question. What were you doing in the intervening years until now?

    1. I love responding to ancient comments! I was getting a job in the video game industry. I worked on that Lord of the Rings: War in the North game and then I’ve been working at Signal Studios on tools support for their Toy Soldiers games.

  4. My word, Mortisland UPDATED!?

INCONCEIVABLE! It was supposed to have joined the hordes of zombie websites. But I guess you can’t keep a classic website down…

  5. Hey! Just wanted you to know that I’ve been a huge fan of yours for a veeeery long time. How long has it been? Seven years, maybe? Don’t know, really. But a whole lot. Even though I’m Spasnish and found your web entirely by chance.

Since you last posted anything, I’ve been continually reentering your web just to see if there was anything new. And now, there is. Just wanted to let you know how happy you have made me. Welcome back, Mortis. We missed you.

  6. Hey man,

Long time no see! Glad to see you’re getting caught up on back website-child support. Seriously though, I’m glad you’ve been able to go into something you really liked for a job now. Welcome back.

  7. Woah, you’re still alive. When I was a child I watched your flash movies in awe. I saw the site go really inactive as I checked in maybe, once a year to see if it was still here. On an inkling I did it again to see you had changed anything in the last few years. I’m pleasantly surprised.

  8. I’m so glad I found you again! Your flash shorts were very amusing and loved by me and my friends. As with many things on the internet, memories are short lived. But you and your movies stick out. Glad to see you still around, and hope everything is well!
